Vacation Help! (I'm sooo bad at this...) - FSUniverse

A girlfriend and I yen a few days of fun in the sun, chilling on a seashore, peradventure seeing a draw a bead or two if once in a while permits. We basically have 4 days over the July 4 weekend. I value we have it narrowed down to Bahamas or Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic. But that's where I'm stuck - there are so many hotels/resorts to pick from, that I'm systemize of frozen with uncertainty and anxiety of screwing this up! What if I end up picking some roach or mold-infested prosper? So I ask? 2) Anyone have recommendations on a breakfast, or a critical part of the islet we should curb in (or visit away from)? My crony is a associate of some treks/timeshare club, which has "superabundance inventory" rooms at Hacienda Resorts in DR. I don't uncommonly empower timeshare companies - the train had contacted my cocker tattling her that she won a honest yacht, but she could only requirement it if she listed to some timeshare launch, and before she knew it she ended up with a timeshare and no boat, due to their 7 trillion stipulations....

Is it true that even the "nice" resorts etc. in the Bahamas have cockroaches in the hotel rooms?

How usual is this and what can I do to avoid this? Should I call the hotel and have them spray the rooms before we check in? How would I know that they'd done it? We're invited to a wedding there at the end of June and I am starting to get euphonious

Roaches have been here since the sunrise of time. You can ask the hotel to spray, but that is something you might have to deal with. Nice places have nothing to do with it. They are next to impossible to get rid of.

Here is a wonderful travel website, that I use myself a lot.

Bahamas have the Palmetto bugs, which look like big roaches. It is not much you can do about it. I would urge you pack your "Raid" and when you arrive look around real good and just dissipate broadcast in the kitchen and bathroom areas before you bring

I have been to the Bahamas 3 times and I have never had a cockroach in my latitude. I wouldn't like it either. All the good hotels spray because they know it's a turn off. Relax and check out the room and bathroom before you quieten in.

Good

Bugs are everywhere, no count what destination you visit, just hope you don't have the room with them.........

=)

I allow with "Firebug" the responder...if it happens well so be it...it is not the end of the world...it it is the end of the world, they will still be "chilling" at the hotels, homes and where ever. So go and have fun...

I stayed at Sandals and had no bugs at all in the range. I guess places can't control all insects that may be around, but it shouldn't be a big deal. If it is, I'm sure that a nicer hotel or refuge will come in and spray for you. Have fun!

I have a about in nassau and have stayed at many of thier hotels over the years and never saw a roach in any room. High end or low.
I'm sure there are some bugs in and around the attribute, but unless you're staying in some hole.. you won't be
