It is NOT always included; look at the Bahamas map on lonelyplanet.com (which cuts out the Cay Sal Bank and Crumb Bahama Bank of the Bahamas from the map to make do that).

Florida is on MOST maps of the Bahamas (a British Commonwealth territory) A combine of contiguousness (as spoonful as 50 miles between Miami and the Bimini Islands and about 70 miles from Haven Canaveral to the megalopolis of Freeport.) and topography – if you accurately displayed the unearthing of the Cay Sal Bank, the Scanty Bahama Bank, and Best Inagua Holm on a exact or rectangular map you would automatically have the atlantic beach of Florida and most of Cuba on the same map.
