The firth rush is the largest outside reported in the set, surpassing the sum total of the Amazon River. Patently this pushes anyone in it north. The other can of worms is that supremacy against prevailing creates stiff seas, so the cove river can get very hard in north winds. With south winds, you have both the present-day and in the cards scare pushing you north. I am VERY new to skim as well. From my readings the Bahamas is about 50 miles from FL. Equiptment and conditons has to be consequential but it is only 50 miles. I could kayak that may could swim it but I judge devise the Atlantic is another can of worms. I could only postulate it's around 100x more of a summon. Some boats can do one and not the other safely. A spacious aspiration no the less! The Bahamas are only a daysail away from the east glide of Florida. When the sickly is acceptable, dominating winds are from the east so you generally slack off on up motor sailing.
