Travelling to the Bahamas what foods am I allowed to travel with from Canada?

Fascinating the family and have read that it is expensive to buy groceries on the island of Freeport. We will have to travel thru Customs and I identify that fresh meats and fresh vegi's are not allowed but what about canned meats/fruit/vegi, kraft

I can't take it that someone would go to a country like the Bahamas, with all of the FANTASTIC foods there and want to take their own foods from home.

Leave the food at home and enjoy the feel of eating something NEW and DELICIOUS

What is the national food of Bahamas?



The Bahamas has one of the highest consumption rates per capita of chicken in the circle. We reaaaally love chicken.lol but yeah conch is definately the national food. Conch is a Goliath sea snail. Its flesh looks and tastes like a more chewy scallop.

Is peas 'n' rice the traditional main course of the Bahamas?

If not what is the Bahamas historic food?


Peas and Rice is a established Italian dish! Red beans & Rice would be Bahamian.
